This year EstYES in cooperation with Alt-Lauri organic farm in Vorumaa, Estonia has organized 5 international workcamps involving in overall 26 participants from 10 countries: Taiwan, Mexico, France, South Korea, Italy, Estonia, Belgium, Spain, Japan and Russia.
This workcamp is agricultural and ecological. Volunteers are involved into different kinds of work, supporting everyday life of farm – weeding, collecting vegetables, fruits and berries, packing them etc. In this camp volunteers learn a lot about sustainable life-style and organic farming, get closer to nature and spend 3 weeks not only working, but also exploring beuatuful sights of Vorumaa and Estonia in general.
Here are impressions from one of camp-leaders Komlanvi Dotche from France:
“I was in the Alt Lauri farm with four good girls, and after few days, three more Estonian girls. They were very good workers. They never complained themselves , evn if the work was hard the first day, because our bodies weren’t used to do field work.
The farm was very cosy with familial atmosphere and it was pleasure to have being there. Then, the rooms were comfortable.
